I have designed various websites for businesses with varying complexity.
I have built a website for the sales page of the SiteByte Website builder. It was a great project and I got to test my skills on making an attractive simple website.
The project also had a need for a coupon redeem system. I would need to create a system that would accept coupon codes and upgrade a customers account with the email provided. I had to check for pre-existing emails and validate the coupon code.
If the coupon was valid and the customer accoutn existed then I would call to a pre-existing web application to upgrade that users account.
I also built a website for a Therapy and Assessment clinic called Cedar Tree Clinic. I designed their website, logo, slider, and also setup the google gsuite account.
I worked on a website for a small tree cutting service in Texas and built out an awesomely patriotic theme. They also needed me to setup their gsuite, registering for google, and setting their social media.
In the end I think I worked on maybe 20 websites or mini projects over the 3 years working. There were a lot of websites I still need to locate in the archives.
Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are tools I have used fairly often. Working with the vast resources online is amazing. You can really be creative and modify resources to fit the branding of just about any industry.
Developed and modified many logos, business cards, brochures, flyers, and banners using multiple tools and techniques. Pixabay was a great resource for free stock images to enhance the print media I was working with.
Worked on many logo designs including choosing fonts to match. Very familiar with modifying high quality vector graphics in Illustrator and exporting multiple sizes to different types of print media.
I have built many brands for different businesses and helped small businesses get started preparing marketing materials they would need to be successful.
I had to often compress images to speed up load times on the website. Converting formats of the image to support multiple platforms such as Safari.
I worked on an Order Management System called the ULM System. The solution was completely custom other then utilizing bootstrap for the UI. I was inspired to use a Windows 8 start screen for the apps dashboard for the app.
I extracted the old data, build a new dataset, and started building the app from just the data and requirements. I made many visits to their place of business to showcase updates, gather requirements, and raise problems and potential solutions as obstacles come up.
In the end I created around 10 individual screens for managing a single part of the order managment process. The deal app was for entering in deals. The order app was taking orders from customers (stores). The product app was for entering in new products and updating existing products. The store app was for creating new stores and updating pre-existing stores. Want to read more about the ULM System project Click Here
In addition to working on the ULM System I also had to create a scheduling and sales management system called the BA System. This system was for managing sales employees that would give several demos each day. I had to create a planning app to setup employees routes and the product they would promote at that location. The work order app would have the routes, date of the demo, and product for that demo laid out either weekly or montly for the employee.
The employee could access their work order in PDF format to print out their routes for the week. When they are at the location they would use my app to enter in information they gather from customers during the product demo. This information would be gathered into a final report. There also was reports for employee performance and outlining brand sales. Want to read more about the BA System project Click Here
While working at CaveTech I developed many small projects during innovations sessions. I loved given the time to expand my understanding of certain topics. I wrote a true restful endpoint library to make it easier for me to create endpoints and created a library to make it faster for me to write SQL.
I also created a basic editable table component that was like excel and was able to make lots of improvements. When I was done with the project I ended up adding ribbon menus and copy and paste functionality! It really did look like excel with my UI upgrades!
While working at CaveTech there was a client that had a 6 month contract for building an Android App. I was in charge of adding new features to the app including Google Drive file sync, keyword scanning (parent censorship), and browser blocking certain websites. I also worked on the security end including SOS in case of emergencies and the triggering mechanics that would start camera recording.
In addition to this app I worked on several other security apps that were meant to secure company devices (assets) from theft.
Other short term clients was working with Synaptic AI to develop presentations talking about modernizing your business with artificial intelligence.
I also had developed a lot of graphics, logos, business cards, hooking up SAAS apps to websites, google analytics, heat maps, A & B testing, and much much more. There were times I was doing some sales, marketing research, business modal canvases, and cold reach outs for a short time. I tend to really have to think back to all of the different things I was working on while at CaveTech because it was a lot.
